Less Paint Consumption with New Electrostatic Spray Gun from Dürr

The EcoGun AS MAN DC/EC is equally suitable for the application of solvent-based and water-based paints and ensures comfortable working thanks to its ergonomic handle and low weight. The electrostatic charge generated when using the SprayGun reduces paint consumption by up to 40%, as the attraction between paint particles and the workpiece results in less overspray during the painting process. At the same time, the process is accelerated, as the electrostatic charge creates a so-called “wrap-around effect”.

Legal update: Direct electricity trading mechanism for Vietnam

On July 3, 2024, Vietnam took a major step toward a competitive electricity market with the issuance of Decree 80/2024/ND-CP (“Decree 80”).  The Decree 80 introduces a direct power purchase agreement (“DPPA”) mechanism that fundamentally shifts how renewable energy generators can sell electricity in Vietnam.

Nutrition Labeling in for Food Products in Vietnam – an Update

Circular 29/2023 issued by Vietnam's Ministry of Health (MOH) requires that as of January 1, 2026, pre-packaged food products must adhere to stricter nutritional labeling requirements, comparable to Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011. EU food exporters should use the transition period to make themselves familar with the new requirements. SNB Law regularly advises the food industry on regulatory requirements in Vietnam and China.

The site in Haiphong opened October 2023 and is 70,000 square meters in size and has a production capacity of around 40 million square meters of adhesive tape per year. With this the site Haiphong perfectly complementing the existing production site in Suzhou, China which opened in 2005. The additional production capacity will primarily serve the fast-growing Asian market.
