Greening FDI: Unwavering Commitment from the German Business Association in Vietnam

The German Business Association (GBA) reported significant progress in Q2 2024, with German businesses expanding in Vietnam. Despite investment challenges, they remain committed to sustainable development and innovation. Eight new FDI projects with a total registered capital of USD 14.7 million were launched in H1 2024. Notable companies like Ziehl-Abegg and Kärcher invested over 1,000 billion VND. Challenges include post-investment administrative procedures, infrastructure connectivity, and transparency in preferential policies.

Strengthening German-Vietnamese Business Ties in Textile Machinery and Accessories Sector 

From June 30 to July 5, 2024, AHK Vietnam and VDMA Textile Machinery, supported by BMWK, hosted a delegation in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to enhance German-Vietnamese ties in the textile machinery industry. Vietnam’s Economy Shows Robust Grow in The First Six Months of 2024 

Vietnam's economy recovered rapidly in the first half of 2024 after a challenging period at the end of 2022 and early 2023. According to the General Statistics Office (GSO), the global manufacturing hub saw an expansion of 6.4 percent in January-June, compared to 3.7 per cent over the same period of 2023.

Kärcher Expands Footprint with New Production Plant in Vietnam

Quang Nam, July 2 - Kärcher, renowned for its high-pressure cleaning products, inaugurated and began operations at a new production plant at Tam Hiep Port Logistics Industrial Park, Quang Nam. This facility, with a total investment of 20 million Euros, includes a 13,500 m² factory and 1,600 m² of office space, and will employ more than 300 local workers.  In 2024, the factory’s output is expected to reach 500,000 products, increasing to 1.7 million products in 2025 and 2.5 million products in 2026.
