AHK Vietnam - Delegation of the German Industry and Commerce in Vietnam’s Post

ADVANCING YOUR CAREER IN HOSPITALITY – A GERMAN GUIDE 📌 Today, AHK Vietnam, in collaboration with Saigontourist Hospitality College, Goethe-Institut HCMC, organized successfully the career day "Advancing your Career in Hospitality - A German Guide” targeting the students and alumni in the hospitality sector. This event is also a joint initiative of AHK Vietnam’s running projects such as Hand in Hand For International Talents, ProRecognition, and the Dual Vocational Training Program.   ⭐ One of the highlights is the dedicated panel discussion featuring Mr. Marko Walde, Chief Representative of AHK in Vietnam, Myanmar, Cambodia, and Laos; Mr. Arik Matthias Jahn, Deputy Director, Head of the Language Department of the Goethe-Institut HCMC; Ms. Lam Nguyen, Project manager of the Hand in Hand for International Talents project; Ms. Kim Nhung Ly, ProRecognition project consultant; Ms. Thieu Thi Thuy Linh, a member of the Hand in Hand for International Talents project, currently works at a hotel in Kühlungsborn. The discussion aimed to provide participants with comprehensive insights into: ✦ Opportunities, challenges, and application processes for foreign workers in the hospitality sector in Germany  ✦ New immigration laws, recent regulations, and job opportunities in the German market. ✦ Living conditions, and the working environment in Germany 🔎 In addition, attendees benefited from personalized consulting sessions with AHK project specialists through workshops covering topics such as the recognition procedure for the hospitality sector, opportunities to work in Germany, and dual vocational education in Vietnam based on the German model. Besides, specialized cultural classes are provided by Goethe-Institut HCMC so that young talents could immerse themselves in the intricacies of the German language and culture.   🤝 We also would like to extend our appreciation to our partners Anre Maisen, Saigontourist Hospitality College, College of Technology II, and Francis Restaurant School for spreading the information to the apprentices and joining us in this meaningful event at this beautiful time right before Christmas!   #AHKVietnam #PartnerForSucess #SkilledWorkers #FairMigration #HiH #ProRe #VET
