RECAP: DIGITAL WORKSHOP “ INSIGHT INTO THE REFORMS OF THE SKILLED IMMIGRATION ACT” 🔎 Yesterday, AHK Vietnam was pleased to contribute to the Digital Workshop from GIZ Vietnam with a focus on the general information on the Skilled Immigration Act and details of the Act’s reforms. The online event targeted leaders and personnel within 11 vocational TVET colleges, equipping them with essential knowledge about the Act to better guide students aspiring to work professionally in Germany. 🔑 During the workshop, our experts – Ms. Trang Dao, Head of Business Development Services, and Ms Kim Nhung Ly who is in charge of the ProRecognition Project from AHK Vietnam – shared their expertise about the new Skilled Immigration Act (FEG) which makes it easier for skilled workers with vocational training and individuals with practical knowledge to immigrate to Germany. Besides, a detailed recognition process for Vietnamese diplomas in Germany was also presented to the participants. 🔎 ProRecognition is carried out by AHK Vietnam and provides individual consultation to recognize qualifications acquired in Vietnam so that qualified Vietnamese professionals get the opportunity to enter the German labor market as soon as possible. #Malaysia continues to reform its #immigration laws and processes to make the country more attractive to global talent and #investors. Recent changes have generally been well received and Malaysia is rightly proud of its modern, digitised and relatively open immigration system. However, if we want to go one step further and truly stand out in the increasingly global competition for talent and #investment, the government could consider reforming the requirements for foreigners to become permanent residents. Making it easier to permanently live in Malaysia is psychologically different from introducing one long-term visa after another. Long-term visas say "we welcome you as a guest", permanent residency allows you to call Malaysia your home. For foreign investors and international talent, having a permanent base somewhere is important in an increasingly complex and unstable world. To get an overview of the latest changes implemented by the government, take a look at our summary of past reforms, the latest reforms and our thoughts on the next steps towards a competitive and leading immigration system. #visa #expatriate #PermanentResidency #FDI #HR #Recruitment Luther Myanmar Luther Singapore Luther Thailand Luther Indonesia Luther Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH Luther Luxembourg
