Hanoi, 29 August – The vibrant spirit of the GBA Oktoberfest 2023 came to life at JW Marriott Hotel Hanoi. As the German Business Association – GBA and proud organizers of the Oktoberfest, in Vietnam, we joined forces with our Oktoberfest Hanoi partners to host an electrifying press conference.
The event saw the participation of GBA Co-Chairman Mr. Torben Minko, Head of Business Development Services of the AHK Vietnam Mrs. Trang Dao, Executive Chef of JW Marriott Hotel Hanoi Mr. Steven Peter and our diamond sponsors: ANDRITZ Hydro with the presence of the Deputy General Director Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tan, and Messer Hai Phong with the presence of the Marketing & Communication Manager Mr. Nguyen Duc Giang. We were also honored to welcome a fantastic turnout of 50 media agencies.
The press conference was full of lively questions and discussions, setting the stage for what’s to come. After the press event, our guests enjoyed a tantalizing preview of the festivities with a mini-Oktoberfest featuring authentic German beer and cuisine.

GBA Oktoberfest is the biggest annual cultural festival held in Vietnam, co-hosted by the German Businesses Association (GBA), the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Vietnam (AHK Vietnam), together with JW Marriott Hotel Hanoi, under the patronage of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Hanoi, and German Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City.
Over 30 years, “GBA Oktoberfest Vietnam” has become an annual event to bring the unique German cultural and traditional experiences closer to the Vietnamese people. In addition to that, the festival has created a bridge for promoting the Vietnam-Germany strategic partnership.
